company, Castlecool, has taken delivery
of a 20SE AC electric powered Aisle-
Master, fitted with an 8m customised
mast enabling aisle widths to be cut.
The truck can work both inside
and out and can offload HGVs
from both sides.
Aisle-Masters can operate in aisles
of 1.75m, have capacities of up to
2.5t, lift heights to 12.5m, and a
choice of AC electric or LPG power.
The batteries used in the Castelcool
model are said to be powerful enough
to counteract the cold-store
environment. Other cold-store specific
features have been incorporated to
help operations throughout long shifts
in temperatures of around -22°C.
Cold-store spec Aisle-Masters are said
to work in temperatures to -40°C.
