Emphasis on safer handling
January 1st 2008

Nissan is putting the emphasis firmly on safe materials handling by applying a Risk Reduction System to every area of a truck's function.

The concept is applied individually to each new truck and combines design elements for increased visibility and manoeuvrability with a range of physical features to maximise stability, control and handling.

A key development has been the introduction of Cushioned Stability Control on the company's latest BX, four wheel electric model. A flexible damping system between the truck's rear axle and frame provides a high level of lateral stability for both the truck and its load, allowing safer cornering at speed and reducing the possibility of the truck overturning.

Nissan's Cushion Stability Control is always engaged and maintenance-free.

Fuzzy logic on electric models provides safe, smooth acceleration, while Nissan Syncro steering assists manoeuvrability in restricted areas.
