Pre-cast drainage systems manufacturer CPM has improved the handling and storage of its Chamber Rings with the purchase of B&B Attachments' Blockmaster Pipe Clamp. Specified by CPM's materials handling supplier Linde, the clamp has enabled the company to improve both its handling efficiency and storage capacity.

B&D Attachments, suppliers of forklift attachments has provided CPM with its rugged device, which is capable of handling chamber rings of varying diameters and heights and up to two tonnes in weight.

Fitted to a Linde H60D truck, the clamp can lift two rings at a time before transferring them from the production plant to the stocking area and then on to vehicles for onward transportation to any of CPM's customers' sites. As the clamp is able to stack the pipes it has also helped improve the amount of product that can be stored by making maximum use of the floor area. B&B has also fitted a camera system t the clamp so the driver can safety see in front.
