A multi-directional lift truck from Sidetracker Engineering, with load capacity of 2.5t, is used by Hi-Lo to carry rolled steel sections up to 12m long around its East London factory where space is restricted.

The unit supplied is an SB-25C seated model, 1760mm long by 2000mm wide with the forks retracted for travelling. It is powered by twin electro-hydraulic power units through a high torque hydrostatic transmission and can travel forwards, sideways or diagonally and rotate in either direction about its own centre.

A high-grip drive wheel provides traction on slopes, while a triplex mast gives a lift height to 4.5m.
