New engine and less noise September 1st 2005 Following the launch of its 1.5 to 3.5t N series of IC engine counterbalance trucks, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has made improvements to its 4 and 5t range. These include a new LPG engine, lower noise levels, enhanced fingertip control and reduced maintenance needs.
With its robust exterior, the FD/FG40-50K series is aimed at tough applications for which additional strength is needed.
However, the company has sought to deliver a high level of refinement and driver comfort.
The LPG engine is controlled by a sophisticated engine management system that combines a closed-loop circuit with a standard regulated catalytic converter.
This results in increased engine output and torque, but minimal exhaust emissions.
An engine protection system guards against damage from overheating, while the advanced fuel and ignition systems minimise the need for tuning.
Service intervals have been extended to 500h in normal conditions. To avoid rapid wear in dusty workplaces, the rear axle has been fitted with a grease nipple that allows extra greasing pressure to be applied. More articles from Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK: |
