New standards across the range
September 1st 2004

Offering advanced driving features, ergonomically designed driver’s compartment and an advanced safety system, BT’s CARGO counterbalance trucks set new standards

Counterbalance forklift trucks are vital in most handling operations, performing a wide variety of tasks.

The BT CARGO range sets new standards in AC-electric, gas, and diesel-engined models. Advanced driving features are consistent across the range, which comprises machines with capacities up to 5000kg.

BT’s counterbalance truck range features the same attributes as its warehouse trucks: performance, safety, ease-of-use, and lowest-cost handling. All CARGO trucks have an ergonomically designed operator compartment, which provides both comfort and safety, including easy access. These compartments are fully adjustable to suit the driver, including seat and steering wheel position, and there is a wide choice of control layouts. Seat belts are standard equipment on all CARGO trucks.

For internal applications, the CARGO Eseries electric range consists of three and four-wheel chassis trucks, with capacities from 1200 to 5000kg, and AC power. AC power in all electric models brings fewer wearing parts and excellent driving control.

Truck speed can be controlled by the accelerator pedal alone, with automatic braking being effected as soon as the pedal is released. CAN-bus technology allows the option of a multi-function control unit, with fingertip levers or two minijoysticks.

Additionally, BT offers the CARGO electric compact range, for applications that require high manoeuvrability. These models also benefit from a raised driver position, for excellent visibility, and high capacity batteries, which are quick and easy to change.

For internal and external applications, the CARGO G-series offers models from 1500 to 3500kg. For outdoor use, the CARGO D-series has models with capacities from 1500 to 5000kg. Both G and D-series feature hydrostatic transmission, for excellent manoeuvring performance and control. GT (gas) and DT (diesel) models are also available, featuring hydrodynamic transmission, which is ideal for longer travel distances.

These models come in capacities from 1500 to 3500kg, and all feature the innovative SAS System of Active Stability.
