New trucks, new control January 1st 2006 Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has introduced to its range of electric counterbalance trucks new 48V AC 3 and 4 wheel models.
Terry Foreman, general manager, explains "With a wealth of practical, user-friendly features, the new trucks tick every box in the buyer's checklist. That includes higher power and performance, unbeatable productivity, greater inbuilt safety, enhanced reliability, improved economy and wider choice, all delivered in a complete package that represents outstanding value for money." The trucks' new generation control system governs an advanced safety feature - the Integrated Presence System (IPS).
This detects whether the driver is correctly seated and, if not, prevents all hydraulic movement. It stops lowering as well as lifting, tilting and truck travel.
Another role for the controller is to adjust acceleration, travel speed, lift/lower speed and braking.
