Tiltable deluxe cab
March 1st 2005

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has added the option of a deluxe tiltable cabin to its N series of 1.5 to 3.5t IC engine counterbalance trucks. The cab is designed to offer high levels of comfort and ergonomics to reduce fatigue and increase operator efficiency.

Floating on four rubber shock mounts on the chassis, the cabin reduces noise and vibration inside the driver compartment to levels of just 75dB(A). For practicality, the entire cab can be tilted backwards hydraulically over the counterweight in just 40sec to give full service access to the engine compartment.

Designers have aimed for an operator environment that is more akin to the luxury cab of a longdistance lorry than a forklift. As such, the interior is fully lined and the windows give a clear and unobstructed view through the front, back, sides and roof.

Two-way sliding side windows and an opening roof provide ventilation, while a heating system warms the foot area and demists front, side and rear screens. Controls for washers, wipers, 12V connection and heater are in a central position close to the steering column.
