Truck fleet installed to keep food on the move September 1st 2004 Centura Foods has specified a fleet of Still forklift and warehouse trucks for goods movement operations at its manufacturing, packaging and distribution plant in Cheshire.
Supplied by Lancashire (Fork Truck) Services, the fleet comprises two FM-14 reach trucks, four EGU powered pallet trucks and nine electric counterbalance forklift machines of which five are model R50-10, one an R50-15, two are R20-15 and one is an R20-20.
Incoming deliveries of raw ingredients and packaging materials are unloaded from lorries by the Still R50-10 electric counterbalance forklift trucks and EGU powered pallet trucks.
Still says that for more than two decades its 3-wheel R50 electric counterbalance forklift was the best-selling forklift in its class. It has now been replaced by the RX50 that puts into practice many of the features of the awardwinning Still RXX concept forklift, while retaining the much loved features of the outgoing R50, such as the retracting wheelbase that lets the truck operate in very confined areas.
