Trucks maintain air quality January 1st 2005 What started as a search for threewheel electrics ended with Britax PMG choosing two four-wheel FG18N LPG counterbalance trucks from Hamech Mitsubishi instead.
As a lot of the materials handling at Britax’s Bridlington works is carried out indoors, engine fumes have to be avoided. The company thought electric power would be the best solution. However, local Mitsubishi forklift truck dealer, MH Industrial, showed that the power, speed and flexibility of an IC engine truck could be enjoyed without ruining air quality.
Andy Wylde, logistics co-ordinator outbound for Britax, says “The low emission levels of the N series were spot-on for our needs. As well as that, we were impressed by the whole look of the truck and we were particularly keen on the comfortable, ergonomic seating position that we knew would make our drivers happy and productive.” More articles from Hamech Ltd: |
