Articulated to save space
September 1st 2007

With growing pressures on warehouse space, Heartbeat Manufacturing turned to Translift Bendi for articulated forklifts to provide the solution.

Heartbeat's old bulk steel store used counterbalance forklifts that wasted valuable storage space, however the Bendi needs just 1.6m-wide aisles to operate. The truck chosen was the B318. Safety features include seat presence switch which ensures the truck is only operational if the driver is seated, an automotive style pedal layout for an uncomplicated driving technique and traction cut out, which eliminates the truck from rolling backwards if started on a gradient.

Translift Bendi provided onsite training for three of Heartbeat's drivers.
