Double benefit
May 1st 2007 Increased storage and improved
safety are two of the benefits
enjoyed by GSG Cargo of
Worthing since it installed a Bendi
forklift from Translift Bendi.
The forklift's articulating mast is
said to allow 50% more pallets to
be stored than would be possible
with a conventional counterbalanced
forklift and 38% more
than a reach truck.
In GSG's case, the Bendi
doubled pallet storage space as
racking was designed around the
forklift. Equipped with side shift
and flashing beacon, it can work in
1.8m wide aisles (some models
work in 1.6m aisles).
Drivers have a good view when
interfacing the pallet load with
racking beams, and there is no rear
