Easily added for swift sweep

Forest Garden, manufacturer of timber garden products, is now making a clean sweep through sawdust and other debris at its sawmill and manufacturing facility in Lockerbie using a SweepEx push broom from Broadwood International.

The heavy duty brush is easily coupled to the site's forklift truck using a specially designed hitch, and sweeping of the 5-acre yard is carried out in less than 30min.

The steady flow of product through the yard results in sawdust and debris that has to be swept up to meet health and safety requirements and to ensure that particles are not blown into the surrounding areas.

Commenting on the attachment, Dennis Carr, yard supervisor, says "It provides an excellent sweeping action both forward and backward.

We are so impressed that we are considering purchasing another unit." SweepEx heads and mounting hardware are made from industrial strength steel, with a heavy-duty powder coat finish.

The robust polypropylene brush section has 11 rows of 30cm bristles for effective sweeping.

Broadwood says the device can complete a sweeping task in 3min that would normally take 3h to be accomplished manually.
