Energy boost
January 1st 2007

Chloride Motive Power will be exhibiting its CSM battery technology at IMHX 2007. The 'Copper Stretched Metal' battery is part of the Classic range, but incorporates a negative copper expanded metal grid design. The company says this allows improved performance over other traditional vented lead acid batteries.

The battery is deigned for use during heavy duty warehouse operations involving high currentdraw applications, including high bay reach trucks, VNAs and bigger counter balance. CMP says tests have shown the batteries provide an overall improvement in performance. This is said to include a 5% gain while driving, a 6.5% energy increase during acceleration and 8.5% improvement in power during lifting.
