Energy boost July 1st 2008 Exide Technologies (CMP
Batteries) now offers a 'Copper
Stretched Metal' battery as part of
its Classic range. It has a negative
copper expanded metal grid
design that the company believes
allows improved performance over
other traditional vented lead acid
batteries.
The battery has been designed
for use in heavy-duty warehouse
operations involving high currentdraw
applications, including high
bay reach trucks, VNA's and
bigger counterbalance units.
Exide says tests have shown
that CSM batteries provide an
overall improvement in
performance. This includes 5%
gain while driving, a 6.5% energy
increase during acceleration and
8.5% improvement in power during
lifting operations. The batteries,
with long operating life, have the
same dimensions and weight as
standard batteries. More articles from Exide Technologies: |
