Enhanced ergonomics, safety and performance May 1st 2007 The latest UNS Tergo reach
truck from Atlet features
enhanced performance,
safety and ergonomics. It is
stronger and quieter and its onboard
computer system has been
further developed to aid
diagnostics, allow a high degree of
driver-customisation and provide a
host of operational data.
The new Forte UNS tergo is
available with lift capacities of
1400, 1600 and 2000kg and
standard lift heights are to 10.8m.
Driving speed has been increased
to a maximum of 14km/h. Stacking
operations too are faster. New
lift/lower motors have increased lift
speed to 0.7m/s, and the mast
reach speed is increased to
0.2m/s.
These improvements, which
make pallet transporting and
stacking much quicker, are
complemented by enhanced mast
damping when lifting and lowering
for safer, jerk-free pallet handling.
The new motors are also quieter.
The truck's easy-entry cab has
generous space and an infinitely
adjustable seat to accommodate
drivers of all sizes. The free-floating
armrest and mini steering wheel
reduces strain on the shoulders
and arms, and the automatically
tilting seat gives the driver a clear
upward view when stacking, which
is said to eliminate neck strain and
improve safety.
The ergonomic, tilting seat,
floating armrest and 'palm of hand'
mini steering wheel are all
designed to eliminate the risks of
RSI, hence improving productivity.
The Forte has Atlet's Stability
Support System – S3 – that
automatically provides stability by
governing speed and acceleration,
and the interface between speed
and steering sensitivity. More articles from Atlet Limited: |
