Fast payback
November 1st 2007

It took less than one year for Mollertech in Gwent to achieve payback leasing three articulated Bendi forklifts from Translift Bendi.

When the company, a tier one and two supplier to the automotive industry, needed more storage space, Albion Storage specified Dexion's P90 pallet racking. This was designed around the Bendi forklift, an articulating truck that will operate in aisles as narrow as 1.6m.

Mollertech chose to reduce its aisles from 3.2 to 2.04m, which allowed an extra 45% of pallet and stillage spaces. Handling stillages 1.6m wide prevented the company from narrowing aisles to less than 2m due to the risk of damage.

The three Bendi B313 trucks cope with the work that previously was done by five reach trucks and five counterbalanced units.
