Fuel efficient truck
March 1st 2008

With fuel consumption of just 2.5L/h,* the RX70 from Still offers fork lift truck users outstanding efficiency, which is attributed largely to the company's hybrid drive technology.

The company says this figure is even more amazing when compared with up to 5.4L/h used by a traditional torque converter diesel forklift to perform the same task.

The RX 70's powerful hybrid drive system consists of an engine (whether running on diesel or LP gas), which drives a generator. Via an intelligent control unit, the generator drives an electric induction motor. This provides power to the drive wheels and all of the truck's systems. The technology is characterised by high overall efficiency and low fuel consumption (just 2.5L/h*), as well as long service life.

*Applies to the RX 70-25, 2.5t diesel in accordance with VDI 2198 new (60 working cycles/h). In accordance with VDI 2198 old (45 working cycles/h) fuel consumption is 2.2L/h.
