More power July 1st 2007 Chloride Motive Power has
extended its Classic range to
include a Copper Stretched
Metal battery. It
incorporates a
negative copper
expanded metal
grid design and is
suitable for use in
heavy-duty
warehouse
operations involving
high current draw
applications, including high
bay reach trucks, VNAs and
bigger counterbalance machines.
CMP says tests have shown that
the batteries provide an overall
improvement in performance. This
includes 5% gain while driving,
6.5% energy increase during
acceleration and 8.5% improvement
in power during lifting
operations.
The batteries
operate at a
higher voltage
with lower
internal resistance
and temperature
than many other
traction batteries.
This provides increased
power for situations where more
energy is needed. More articles from Exide Technologies: |
