September 1st 2008 Toyota Material Handling UK has
worked with one of the fastest
growing road transport networks in
the UK to provide a forklift fleet that
can deliver the goods.
The DSV Road site in
Humberside operates around the
clock with a capacity to unload
more than 380 inbound and 300
outbound trucks each day. A fleet
of 15 Tonero gas powered forklifts,
with capacities from 1.8 to 2.5t,
was chosen after intensive trials.
The Tonero was praised by
operators for the precision of its
controls, allowing them to move
quickly, even in tight spaces in the
yard. The instrument panel, overhead
guard and mast have been
redesigned to give a clear view,
vital where frequent changes of
direction are needed.
