Support for Council
May 1st 2008

Kerrier Council has taken delivery of a new Samuk R25CD forklift truck for use by its Direct Services division in Redruth.

The truck has been supplied by local Samuk dealer PWF Forklifts and will be used to move palletbased deliveries (from recycling boxes and bark chipping to flowers and stationery). It will also move historical burial ledgers.

Offering a lifting capacity to 2.5t, the new truck has been adapted by the authority's engineers to act as a shunting vehicle for skips and small vehicle trailers around the depot.

The R25CD offers good throughmast visibility and the mast is said to be up to 30% stronger than some competitive designs due to the use of heavy sections and 120mm diameter rollers.
