Truck boosts storage March 1st 2008 Respirex, manufacturer of personal
and respiratory protective
equipment, has improved
warehousing and handling
procedures with an Aisle-Master
articulated forklift.
Replacing a reach truck with the
Aisle-Master has enabled the
company to almost double the
amount it can store in its Redhill
warehouse. The company had
stock stored across five different
locations, which made it difficult to
locate components, hence the
decision to consolidate storage
under one roof.
The 2t capacity Aisle-Master's
ability to work 'in every inch of
space', enabled aisle widths to be
cut so that twice the number of
aisles and racks are now
incorporated in the same area.
Using racking to a height of 7.8m
enables all vertical space to be
used, and the forklift was fitted with
a camera to assist picking from the
top racks.
The truck is also used for offloading
deliveries in the yard. More articles from Aisle-Master Ltd: |
