Truck fleet meets meat processor's moving needs September 1st 2007 Northern Ireland-based
Dunbia, a food processing
company, provides a range
of meat products to a variety of
markets. The company moves
thousands of products a week and
needs an efficient materials
handling solution.
Six years ago, Handling and
Storage Equipment Company,
Linde dealer for Northern Ireland,
carried out an audit of Dunbia's
materials handling operations. The
relationship between the
companies has grown and Dunbia
currently has on site six Linde H 30
LPG hydrostatic counterbalance
trucks with fork rotators to lift and
tip waste. It also operates 10T
20SP pallet trucks with fixed standon
rider platform and two T 20 AP
pallet trucks with hinged stand-on
platform and foldaway protective
guards. These are used mainly to
lorry-load finished product.
The fleet also includes four R 14
reach trucks that operate in the
chilled store and lift to 4.7m. More articles from Linde Material Handling (UK) Ltd: |
