Two jobs, one truck
March 1st 2008 When family owned Harlow
Storage Group (HGS)
needed to increase the size
of its fleet of trucks, md
Tony Santo ordered four
new Flexi G4s from Narrow
Aisle. The company, which
provides outsourced
warehousing facilities has
noticed increasing
requirements for break-bulk
and low level order picking.
"We have been using Flexis
for many years and have
been impressed by their
build quality, versatility and
reliability, " explained Tony.
"We had operated both
reach and counterbalanced
trucks to pick up and put
away but the Flexi performs
both jobs in a single unit."
Articulated trucks load
and unload lorries and
deliver pallets directly to the
racking, increasing
efficiency and lowering
costs. Working in narrow
aisles alongside staff, the
design creates fewer health
safety and productivity
issues. As for the drivers,
Tony Sando finishes, "I'm
sure some of them think it's
easier to stack pallets with a
Flexi than it is to park a
