Active safety
January 1st 2004

Tecna has launched a family of ac electric powered high performance yard machines, with capacities from 2 to 3.5t. Designed specifically for in/out operations, the TSD machines have active safety features as standard, including an electronic stabilising system that reduces the traction speed of the truck relative to the degree of turn angle without reducing power. This is designed to prevent truck tip-over due to high speed cornering. A traction speed limiter reduces traction speed when the load is raised above a pre-determined height, thereby reducing the risk of tip-over in the forward direction should the operator move the machine with the load elevated. Both functions are integrated into the Tecna electronic system and cannot be removed or adjusted by the operator.
