Bespoke strapping machine January 1st 2004 Mosca Direct has produced its widest ever strapping machine as a bespoke solution for Alstons.
The company makes furniture to order, so packs that require strapping vary in size. Alstons required a cross-strapper with the flexibility to handle swift change-overs lengthways and widthways.
Moscas ROTRC automatic strapper, with operator-friendly job selection, was considered ideal for the purpose. However, the width of the furniture varies from 1.1 to 2.6m, while the ROTRC has a width capacity of 2.4m. A bespoke, wider version was produced and the installation includes a conveyor to carry products to the strapper.
The ROTRC strapper is capable of both single or double strapping at the throughput speeds required by Alstons. It uses Moscas brushless motors, direct drive technology, eliminating the use of gearboxes and clutches and reduced the need for pulleys and chains. More articles from Mosca Direct Ltd: |
