Ability Handling, UK distributor for Sichelschmidt GmbH, will exhibit a comprehensive range of seated and pedestrian operated, atex-compliant forklifts at IMHX 2004. Available as Category 2G for Zones 1 and 2, and as 3G for zone 2 only, the flameproof forklifts are said to offer maximum safety and optimum performance in potentially hazardous environments. Sichelschmidt believes it is the only manufacturer to offer a complete product range featuring ASM ac drive technology and says that costly maintenance schedules associated with conventional flameproof dc motored machines are, therefore, a thing of the past.
