Safety boost
January 1st 2004

Two electric Bendi forklifts from Translift have improved safety and warehouse efficiency for mail order specialist Scotts of Stow. Designed for lifting 1050kg to 6m in aisles just 1.8m wide, the two Bendis have side shift and masts that had to have their height trimmed in order to pass through the doorways. Full pallet loads are stored at upper racking levels, from where they are lowered to the bottom two levels for order picking. The trucks can also be used in the yard to load and unload lorries due to their soft, cushion-tyred wheels, articulating front wheel axle and higher chassis ground clearance than a reach truck.
