Tipping the balance
March 1st 2008

There are a number of smart packaging labels available for companies wishing to add an extra deterrent when shipping fragile goods. Damage deterrent specialists, Lamerholm have been contacted by a number of companies who have been concerned that some tilt monitors have certain design faults that can seriously affect their performance.

The TiltWatch labels are designed using a non-magnetic steel disc sensor that is immune to moisture ingress and other adverse environmental conditions. By simply removing the adhesive backing, TiltWatch is automatically armed.

Due to its design and the fact that the unit is armed from the nonexposed surface, this means that once applied, the unit cannot be reset. This, together with the self stickbacking that assures a permanent bond, even on rough wood surfaces, means that TiltWatch is both tamperproof and non-resettable.
