First class parcel sortation September 1st 2007 FKI Logistex has been awarded a
contract by Bovis Lend Lease to
design, manufacture and install a
parcel sortation system for the
Ministry of Defence.
The development, known asMOD Estate London Project
(MoDEL) includes a new British
Forces Post Office (BFPO) facility.
The sortation unit will use the latest
Optical Character Recognition
(OCR) to ensure fast and accurate
address identification.
S-3000CB Cross-Belt Sorter
technology will ensure gentle
handling across the wide variety of
weights, sizes and shapes of
packages and parcels handled by
the BFPO. In addition to OCR, the
