Rfid printer-applicator

Weber Marking Systems has launched a RFID version of its 5200 series printer-applicator. The new 5200rfid smart label printerapplicator features an integrated system that can print, encode, verify and apply pressure-sensitive RFID smart labels to cartons and pallet loads in one operation. The 5200rfid offers a selection of print engines that use thermaltransfer technology to produce smart labels with text, bar codes and graphics at 203 dpi. As labels are printed, digital information is instantly encoded onto thin, ultrahigh frequency tags that are embedded in the smart label material. The encoded information is verified immediately by the system and the smart label is then applied to the top or side of a carton or pallet load.
