Servo driven label applicator

The Herma 400 range is a new generation of servo driven label applicators that can be easily and cost effectively integrated into production lines, as well as other equipment such as form and fill bagging machines or bespoke label application systems. The control module for the 400w servo motor is integrated inside the housing of the unit, with no increase in footprint. Bulky control boxes and heavy interconnecting cables are not required. A high level of placement accuracy is claimed, with a maximum tolerance of 0.3mm, achieved by automatic synchronisation of dispensing and production speeds. The applicator maintains this precision even at speeds of 160m or 2000 labels a minute. The Herma 400 comes in four standard maximum label web widths: 80; 160; 240; and 320mm.
