The latest communication variant to Toshiba TECs 2in portable thermal printer uses 802.11b WIFI and IRDA interfaces to make it a true wireless printer, while its compact design makes it suitable for producing high quality barcode labels and receipts as and where they are needed. The new B-SP2D is completely compatible with its predecessors (B-211) software and supplies. It can communicate with pocket pcs, wlans or other mobile and static devices at six times faster than the B-211, either via its serial, infrared, 802.11b or bluetooth interfaces. Labels and receipts to 0.5m in length can be issued either in batch or peel-off modes. Loading the labels in either mode is simply a matter of drop and close. The device has a print speed of more than 3in/sec and features the latest high-speed 32-bit processor. It is easy to use and minimal training is required.
