November 1st 2008 As well as securing a two
year extension to its service
and maintenance contract
with Westland Helicopters,
Morris Material Handling
has been asked to supply
additional services to form a
comprehensive facilities
management package.
While ensuring that all of
Westland Helicopters'
cranes, allied lifting and
material handling
equipment at its Yeovil site
meet full health and safety
and LOLER requirements
remains central to the core
contract, other facilities now
fall within the Morris remit.
Morris now inspects
some 300 fire escapes and
access staging, as well as
industrial doors, fixed
ladders and steps,
carousels, and both fixed
and mobile type racking
systems.
Additionally, Morris
inspects a fleet of Demag
power trucks and has
assumed responsibility for
overseeing a comprehensive
