CHAIN HOIST RANGE EXTENDED
November 1st 2004 The chain hoist range available from ABUS Crane Systems has been extended through to 4000kg capacity with the launch of the ABUCompact GM8 electric chain hoist.
The new hoist is a low headroom unit for load capacities to 4000kg SWL, and offers hoisting speeds to 20m/min along with up to M6 heavy duty rating (dependent on SWL).
It has the maintenance-friendly features of other ABUS hoists, such as quick plug and socket twist lock connections, removable chain guide cassette and maintenance-free contactor control equipment.
The specially hardened galvanised steel profile load chain is said to allow loads about 25% higher than a round steel chain of the same nominal dimensions. The contact surface between the chain links is larger, reducing wear on the chain and prolonging service life.
