Custom-built to lift and position
March 1st 2006 A device has been custombuilt by Packline to lift and position wheels onto Rolls- Royce Phantoms at the company's West Sussex manufacturing plant. It has resulted in increased speed and accuracy when handbolting the wheels to the wheel hub.
Packline's relationship with Rolls-Royce extends to assembly planning, with another special lifting application.
The company developed a harness lifter to allow the manoeuvring and positioning of special kit bags containing the Phantom's electrical system. Particular care was taken to ensure that the product could not damage expensive bodywork in the operation. More articles from Packline Limited: |
