Dock leveller
September 1st 2006

solution that enables vans and lorries to use the same dock level has been developed by Crawford.

On a conventional dock leveller the lip is too wide for a transit van and it exerts too great a load on the vehicle's suspension. Crawford's Combi-Dock overcomes these problems by offering the potential to operate in two different modes.

In normal 'lorry mode' the leveller functions in the same way as a solution with a lip width of approximately 2.25m. When switched to 'van mode' this is automatically reduced to around 1m.

The extra length of the leveller (5.57m) enables it to extend safely down to a transit van, whilst still complying with the latest standards regarding dock leveller gradients.
