Eliminating manual handling

A major high street clothing reatiler has taken another step towards eliminating manual handling by installing two Cobra Vacuum load lifters, from Tawi UK.

Installed on a three metre Jib Arm at the conveyor end of Goods In, the Cobra de-palletises cartons of varying sizes and weights, direct to the conveyor. A scanner reads the bar coded items and sends them to the correct bins for warehousing. A single operative safely and efficiently manages this high speed, continuous operation.
