Fitting additions May 1st 2007 Materials handling systems from
Demag Cranes & Components
have been supplied to SSS Gears
as part of an upgrade to the
company's fitting shops.
The environments in which
clutches are applied dictates that
the precision assembly of
components is of paramount
importance. In upgrading its fitting
shops, SSS Gears sought a
handling solution which combined
total flexibility of push/pull
movement with smooth movement
and accurate load positioning.
To meet these requirements,
Demag supplied suspension
cranes incorporating its
KBKII/KBKIIR monorail system in
each of the two fitting shops. Each
system comprises two 14.5m
length downshop rails, upon which
are mounted three 1000kg SWL
rated, 3.5m single girder crane
bridges.
Each of the crane bridges has a
1000kg electric chain hoist from
Demag's DC-COM range. Power
supplies are via bus bars housed
within the KBK track profile to
protect against ingress of dust. More articles from Demag Cranes & Components Ltd: |
