Flexibility over wide areas
March 1st 2007 AL-Vac has developed a ceilingmounted vacuum lifting unit with flexible movement to enable it to operate safely over extensive work areas. The AL-Vac rail-mounted system consists of two longitudinal rails that run the length of the work area. Rails are attached either to overhead beams or mounted on pillars, spanned by a cross rail. The steel profile rails are open on the underside and contain a number of wheeled rollers. The vacuum tube, ending in the vacuum head and control handle, is suspended from the cross rail to ensure that the system can move sideways as well as backwards and forwards. This gives it coverage across the entire work area served by the rails. The vacuum pump is outside the perimeter of the rails, and the feeding vacuum hose is suspended from one of the longitudinal rails and the cross rail.
