Floor raising
May 1st 2009 Demag Cranes & Components has
supplied four crane systems to
Composite Metal Flooring for a new
production facility.Monmouthshirebased,
the company makes metal
floor decking products and metal
flashings, under the MetFloor brand.
Coils of galvanised steel, weighing
up to 8t, are loaded onto de-coilers.
The steel is then fed through a cold
roll forming machine and guillotined
to length, before being stamped and
bundled into batches for despatch.
Demag supplied four single girder
cranes, all of which have a span of
19m and are rated at 10t SWL. They
have anti-collision protection, cross
travel and long travel limits and are
operated by radio remote control.
Demag DR PRO wire rope hoists are
mounted on all of the crane girders.
Long travel speed is 40/10m/min,
cross travel speed is 5/30/min and
