Four-wheel, all steel, tow tractor
November 1st 2004

Bradshaw Electric Vehicles has introduced a 7t capacity, all-steel, four-wheel tow tractor based on AC motor technology. The T6 has been designed to provide a high level of stability and is said to deliver 50kg more tractive effort than its threewheeled equivalent.

AC technology provides ease of programming, helping to match vehicle performance to each site application. Lower maintenance and improved reliability are also claimed, together with more information to the driver and fleet manager on vehicle performance and status. On the T6, data is displayed via the controller to a VDI and via a plug-in diagnostic facility.

A dead-man seat pad stops the T6 when the driver leaves the seat.

On the move, a footbrake-operated hydraulic braking system is backed by dynamic braking from the AC motor that prevents over-speeding.
