LGV system
May 1st 2011 Spendrups has selected
Elettric 80 as its supplier of
an LGV system which will be
a key part of an automation
project on site. The LGV
(laser guided vehicle) system
will serve all 10 of the
brewery's production lines.
A total of 24 fork-style
LGVs, capable of handling one
or two pallets at a time
depending on the mission, will
be supplied. The system will
bring finished goods pallets
from all production lines to a
monorail bridge which links
the production facility to the
adjacent warehouse building.
The fully automatic
battery exchange/charger
system provides 24h
availability of the LGV fleet
without any human
intervention.
In addition, the system
automatically replenishes
stacks of empty pallets of
different types, empty bottles
and plastic trays to the
