Linde’s concrete solution May 1st 2005 Linde Material Handling equipment has again been chosen by Lignacite, producer of concrete masonry products to reduce costs and increased productivity at the company’s Essex site.
Linde Trifik carried out an extensive site survey and it was decided that concrete blocks should be stacked seven high rather than six to create additional storage. To boost productivity, double overhead block clamps were introduced enabling the company to simultaneously move two packs of blocks in the time it used to take to move one pack.
Six Linde H70 enginepowered, 7t capacity counterbalance trucks were chosen. The masts of five of them were customised to provide the seven high stacking capability when fitted with the double block clamp. The remaining H70 has standard lift, conventional forks and an Eberspaecher particulate filter. More articles from Linde Material Handling (UK) Ltd: |
