NATO role for Demag
January 1st 2007 Materials handling specialist, Demag Cranes & Components, has completed a major refurbishment project at USAF, Lakenheath. The £1m contract involved the overhaul and restoration of 33 protective aircraft shelters used to house NATO F15 planes at the Suffolk base. Fundamental to the project was the refurbishment of Demag wire rope hoists, Demag P600s, rated at 2.5 tonnes, which are used to tow aircraft into the hangers.
