Oil-less air hoist May 1st 2007 Ingersoll Rand now offers
an ATEX zone 2 version of
its Palair Premium oil-less
air hoist, of which
several thousand
have already
been sold
worldwide. It is
designed to
stand up to the
most
demanding
applications in
terms of health
and safety and is
suitable for
applications
such as food
processing,
chemicals and
petrochemicals,
and clean rooms.
The patented
Rotorair motor, a two-part hear
motor developed by Ingersoll
Rand, gives it a service life of over
ten years with regular
maintenance. It is designed to lift
loads of 250 to 980 kg.
In its ATEX version all the
moving mechanical parts have
been redesigned in bronze or
stainless steel, the motor and the
mechanical systems have been
placed inside a sealed casing and
a ventilation system has been
added to the motor to eliminate the
risk of creation of gas pockets
under pressure. The initial
characteristics of the hoist for clean
environments have been
conserved; no air lubrication,
electro-galvanised chain and
stainless steel casings. More articles from Ingersoll Rand European Sales Ltd: |
