Taking the strain
November 1st 2006 Birch Engineering has been regularly supplying Scissor lift tables to igmaKalon to help combat repetitive strain injuries and back problems among operators and has supplied over 100 tables to date. Each production line at IgmaKalon's Birstall and Morley sites usually employ two lift tables mounted into shallow pits. Empty pallets are loaded with products onto the tables at the end of the conveyor line and lowered to be removed by fork lift truck eradicating any needs for the operator to twist or bend whilst loading product onto this pallet. Birch's tables typically offer a capacity of 2000kg and Birch claims that long-lasting efficiency, strength and safety are claimed by Birch to be a majot feature of their range.
