Vacuum lifter
November 1st 2006

At the Fenner Dunlop production plant in Hull, hundreds of 25kg plastic sacks containing raw material are transferred from pallets to hoppers every day. This used to be a manual operation, but the company recognised the need for a piece of free-standing equipment that would eliminate any risk of injury to its workforce.

AL-Vac's two-joint swing arm vacuum lifter offered a solution. It ensures safe lifting of loads and full rotation through 360°. Simple hand controls let the operator pick up 25kg sacks individually using the unit's vacuum head, and position them over hoppers with precision.
