Bespoke pods
January 1st 2008

Easilift Loading Systems has supplied loading bay equipment, including bespoke modular loading pods, for a cold store opened by Innovate Logistics in Chesterfield.

The building has a height of 16.5m and a floor area of 3850m2.

Easilift equipped each of the four loading bays with individual dock pods, 3000mm long by 3650mm wide. The pods, constructed from galvanised steel sections, are clad with 80mm thick cladding wall and roof panels to replicate the integrity of the main building envelope.

Pods have an Easilift Poweramp 233 telescopic dock leveller with a 1000mm long sliding lip to bridge the difference in height between dock and vehicle floor.
