Double-stack solution
March 1st 2008

A mobile lifting platform from Transdek UK allows safe loading and unloading of double-stacked containers and enables customers to increase external storage capacity at little cost.

The tubular steel frame has large wheels at each corner that can be lowered for moving, either by staff or forklift. Once sited against a pair of containers, wheels are retracted and straps are attached to hold the device in place. The 2.4 by 2m platform has a load capacity of 2t and maximum height lift of 3m. A 1m long hydraulically-operated bridge plate with gates provides safe access to the upper container.
